Finance Basics for Your Business |

| MPBDP/NVNV 01/28/2010 - In a world of changing credit rules and tight lending requirements, where can you find the financial resources you need for your business? The Middle Peninsula Business Development Partnership will offer a workshop entitled the Basics of Financing and Credit for Your Small Business presented by New Visions, New Ventures at the Saluda Professional Center in Saluda on February 18, 2010 from 9-11 a.m.
In this workshop, we will discuss traditional and alternative financing options for your business, credit scores, collateral, the importance of a business plan and how to determine your financing needs.
New Visions, New Ventures, located at 701 E. Franklin Street, Richmond, is a non-profit organization providing business counseling and training, credit counseling, Individual Development Accounts, access to capital, financial freedom training, and the Breadwinners Program. The Middle Peninsula Business Development Partnership (MPBDP) is a mission-based, non-profit organization which has provided training and assistance to over 1500 small business owners in the Middle Peninsula and has helped countless numbers of entrepreneurs obtain financing to start their business. MPBDP is pleased to be able to partner with New Visions, New Ventures to offer this workshop to our business community. This project was supported in part by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). DHCD is a state agency that works to support our communities and create healthy, safe, and affordable places for Virginians to call home.
