OWNING YOUR OWN BUSINESS

 
MPBDP 02/12/2008 - The Middle Peninsula Business Development Partnership and Mike Byrne, The Entrepeneur’s Source are teaming up to present this seminar for anyone who is interested in owning a business. This is a FREE Seminar! Thursday, March 6, 2008 at The Saluda Professional Center, 125 Bowden Street, Saluda 23149, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.. Mike will give an overview of the pros and cons of starting from scratch, buying an existing business, or owning a franchise. We will also review an approach for finding the right business that focuses on YOUR goals, needs, and expectations, and we will explore some of the pitfalls that can get in the way of successful business ownership. If you have ever thought about owning your own business join us to explore the options and resources available right here in the Middle Peninsula. Mike Byrne joined The Entrepreneur’s Source because of his desire to help people achieve their career dreams and because of the training and support he knew he could receive from this organization. He is a graduate of the E-Source Academy, an intense and rigorous training program on coaching, franchising, and self-employment options. He attends more than five hours of monthly training to hone his coaching skills so that he can better serve his Clients. Mike has over 35 years experience in management and business development. Prior to joining The Entrepreneur’s Source he was with Science Applications International Corporation as Vice President - Business Development. He is a college graduate with degrees in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Rutgers University. Mike likes to sail. He is married and has one daughter. His dream is to assist people in fulfilling their dreams of self-reliance and business ownership. The Middle Peninsula Business Development Partnership (MPBDP) is a mission-based organization whose goal is to help foster economic growth in the Middle Peninsula by providing business support to potential and existing micro-entrepreneurs. Currently the Partnership operates under the direction of the Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission with funding provided in part by the Virginia Enterprise Initiative and USDA Rural Business Enterprise Program.
